Chesterfield Junior Blues is a voluntary organisation. We rely on people to give their time freely to take up responsibilities either in team management or in club administration. If you would like to help us run the Club we would like to hear from you. At the moment we particularly need help in three areas:

Publicity and Sponsorship

We would like to recruit someone (or more than one person) with PR and fund raising experience and negotiating skills to lead our work to boost the club’s profile and generate funds; access to a phone, email and web are necessary and a willingness to meet potential sponsors is important.

Assistant Secretary

we are looking for someone with basic IT skills who is willing to work from home or their office, for about 30-60 minutes a week; access to email and the web is necessary

Kit Manager

this job is about making sure the Club kit is supplied to the teams in good time for the start of the season, and that any new kit required during the season is available. Decisions about what kit to buy are made by the Committee, and negotiating initial bulk purchases is done by the Secretary. Access to email is necessary.

All three post holders will be responsible to the Club Committee and on a day-to-day basis will look to the Secretary for advice and direction.

What we need most of all is enthusiasm and commitment to the Club rather than a high level of skills or experience – if you are keen you will do a good job for us. As a voluntary organisation we do not plan to reimburse out-of-pocket costs incurred.

More information can be had from our Secretary or Chairman. Volunteers will be interviewed, and successful applicants will be asked to apply for a Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure (often called a CRB check) which the Club will arrange and pay for.  We are also requesting one Parent per Team to attend each Committee Meeting which are held every two months at Clay Cross.
